Universities and National Research Institutes
Approximately 30% of Japan’s national research institute which budget are almost provided by the Japanese Government are concentrated in approx 14 Km2 aria of Tsukuba Science City, and 5 educational institutes including 3 universities are located in the city. The institutes achieve various activities, research, education, training and International Corporation in order to accomplish the mission of the own Ministries. Therefore their activities are widespread from pure science to industrial technology in fields of engineering, construction, biology and agriculture. Following table shows the names of the national institute and the educational institutes separated by laugh academic fields.
